Last year we ran a FREE eight week ‘Bite Size Cooking’ course, funded by VITALITY, Your Health & Well-being Service.

The aim of this course is to help members of the community improve their health and well-being by encouraging lifestyle changes such as eating healthily, maintaining a healthy weight and stopping smoking. The course is designed especially for people who want to learn the basics of cooking and enjoy making delicious, healthy meals. Tutors will provide practical hands-on sessions, following easy recipes. They will also help participants understand the secrets behind food labelling and food content. The emphasis will be on cooking healthy and tasty food, therefore, tutors will demonstrate how to cut down on saturated fat, sugar and salt to cook meals for a healthy weight and lifestyle.
