Healthy Activities

Keep Fit Classes - Weekly classes are held on Wednesdays at the Belhus Park Scout Hall in Faymore Gardens from 10.00am until 11.00am and cost just £2.00 per week.  No need to book so just pop along and get healthier and fitter just in time for Summer.

Street Dance - Every Friday, again at the Scout Hall, from 5.00pm until 6.00pm, classes are held for young people aged 6 to 16 (£2.00 per child per week).   Street Dancerz performed at a number of events throughout 2010 and we're all very proud of their achievements.  Watch this space for details of forthcoming events.

Arts & Crafts Activities - Throughout the year, we run a number of arts and crafts activities here at The Forum, as well as in our parks and other open spaces, all of which are free of course.  All resources and protective clothing are provided.  Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

For further information about our future activities, pop in to The Forum  or call on 01708 852530.

Fotball teamOpen Access Play Schemes-
Over the past few years, SOCF has paid for Thurrock Play Network (TPN) to run Open Access Play sessions at various locations throughout South Ockendon.  Each session provides a full range of FREE games, sports, arts and crafts activities for families, children and young people of all ages.  At the moment we do not have the money to pay for sessions this year, but if we are successful in securing funding then watch this space for dates and venues.

In the meantime, for further information about future TPN events, please call 01375 389876 or 07748 058945 or visit their website www.thurrockplaynetwork.co.uk/.

Photographs are taken at all our events for our own publicity purposes (eg here on the website, in our community newsletter 'Reflect' and at The Forum premises in Derwent Parade).  However, SOCF is committed to best practice, therefore should you not wish your child to be photographed, please inform a member of staff and we will ensure your request is acknowledged and honoured.
