Party in the Park
Last year, our loyal community joined together at Party in the Park in Dilkes Park... and what a day we had.
Amongst the entertainment there was an array of performances and demonstrations in the arena as well as the traditional 'It's a Knockout Competition'. The Forum's very own Street Dance Troupe also performed their version of Michael Jackson's "Thriller", with their faces painted ghoulishly by our regular local face painters. Some of the children were treated to puppet shows, balloon modelling and 'guest appearances' from well known TV children's characters, whilst children's rides and a bouncy castle kept the rest of the children happy. There were also a number of information and fundraising stalls present.
The highlight of the day, however, was the fly past by an RAF Lancaster Bomber. The plane flew over three times very low and children squealed with delight because they could see the flight crew waving at them!
Staff and Trustees of The Forum look forward to seeing you again this year on the 24th July 2010 (12.00pm to 5.00m)... the sunshine has already been booked!
