Young People - C-Card Scheme

NHS South West Essex currently operate a service called the C-Card Scheme that allows the young people of Thurrock to access free condoms from a number of outlets throughout the borough.  We are currently investigating ways in which we can support young people via this scheme and hope to get several volunteers trained and able to support young people.

WE ARE DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE THE RETURN OF THE SEXUAL HEALTH TEAM TO THE FORUM EVERY WEDNESDAY  5.30PM - 7.30PM from July 2011 TO DISTRIBUTE CONDOMS TO C-CARD HOLDERS AND PROVIDE CHLAMYDIA TESTING

ALSO  ON WEDNESDAY 27TH JULY THERE WILL BE A C-CARD ASSESSOR ON THE PREMISES TO INTERVIEW YOUNG PEOPLE AND ISSUES CARDS

Using a condom has many advantages.  Not only can condoms help prevent unwanted pregnancies, but they can also act as a barrier to help both genders prevent contracting Sexually Transmitted Infections, better known as STIs.  So, as the saying goes... "be safe, not sorry".
